Thanks for the quick response, but unfortunately my problem was not affected by what you suggested …

    – I disconnected the network connection (although that would violate the purpose of receiving emails) and it doesn’t change anything

    – I disabled all options in protected form, the results are the same.

I should note that everything worked fine with the default settings with Outlook 2013.

I found another related issue. When sending an email, I am unable to select an attachment using a menu or paperclip. I can access “Recommended Attachments” (new feature in 2016), but when I click on “View This PC” in the list downy, i get error message “Operation failed.”

In my opinion, there must be an invalid registry entry that prevents Outlook from accessing the Windows Explorer window. What and why is another question …

If you don’t see attachments in Outlook, the problem is usually related to app settings, antivirus, or device restrictions. A weak or congested cellular or Internet connection can also prevent Outlook attachments from downloading correctly and missing from the email.

Thanks Brian, but the additional ideas on this link are the ones I listed in my original post that also didn’t help solve this problem.

Is this a problem with a recent Windows update? I know I know Microsoft / Widows is not available and would never do anything like this, but WHAT IF …

The thing is, on Tuesday night May 25, 2010, I had no problems with Outlook. Unexpectedly, on Wednesday May 26, 2010, the images stopped displaying. And the only update in that time was the Windows update.

    Summary:

These suggested solutions failed to solve the problem:

    • Delete the Secure Temp folder. – The current size of the folder is 0 KB.
    • Security Control Center Completely – uncheck “Read all standard emails as plain text”.
    • Trust Center – uncheck “Don’t download images automatically in HTML or RSS emails”
    • Add Senders to the Approved Senders List – Name and Domain Name

    I’ve tried and failed since:

    • Open the letter. Click on the Windows button. Click Editor Options. Click the Advanced tab. UN-CHECK Field Show Image Placeholders

    It’s the same here.

I’ve searched the internet for hours and tried everything I could find unsuccessfully. Sometimes when I clear IE temp folder files the images show up in the email, but it works again almost immediately as if there is a tiny A space that is even filled with an image, that’s all.

Due to the many complaints on the internet, this problem has been around for quite some time. What’s the solution?

Outlook Reported Error 0x800ccc0f – Causes And Troubleshooting

Now let’s take a look at the most common causes of this error and how our server support engineers can fix them.

    1) Server Firewall Limitations

This usually happens when the server’s firewall is blocking the client’s IP or IP ranges due to abnormal behavior.

For example, some servers block access from an IP address when the number of connections exceeds the limit, too many failed connections, concurrent POP connections, etc.

If b Андandwall blocks user access, Outlook reports error 0x800ccc0f.

    Solution

First, our hosting engineers check to see if the user’s IP address is blocked by the server’s firewall. For example, we use the following command to check IP blocking on cPanel servers.

      csf -g xx.xx.xx.xx

If it is listed, we will delete it and immediately reconnect to your email. After that, we will determine the cause of the failure and update the users.

For example, we use the following command to remove an IP block on cPanel servers.

      csf -dr xx.xx.xx.xx

    2) Local Client Firewall Settings

Similarly, the local client firewall can sometimes block incoming and outgoing emails. In other words, this error can occur if the custom SMTP port is not added to the firewall or if the priority is not set correctly by Microsoft Outlook.

    Solution

In such cases, our support engineers temporarily disable the security applications (Windows firewall, software firewall) one by one. This allows us to determine which application is causing the error and correct the settings.

For example, you can disable the firewall in Windows Server by going to Start> Control Panel> Network Connections> Properties> Security> Windows Firewall.

    3) Anti-Virus is blocking the connection

Likewise, the antivirus installed on the client’s computer can sometimes interfere with e-mail.

In other words, antivirus software that includes email scanning requires additional configuration to be able to use Outlook along with antivirus. If this is not configured correctly, incoming and outgoing emails can be blocked.

    Solution

Our support specialists ask customers to temporarily disable antivirus software on their system. This way we can find out if the antivirus is blocking connections.

    4) SettingsOutlook email

Incorrect Outlook settings can cause email errors. For clarity: SMTP host, username / password, SMTP ports, authentication, etc., incorrect messages can seriously affect the entire email delivery process.

Additionally, most ISPs block the general SMTP port 25 to reduce spam. In such cases, users are unable to contact the mail server on port 25 and email delivery will fail.

    Solution

This is where we get the basic Outlook settings from the client and check that they are correct. We also check the server timeout settings in Outlook.

We will also examine the results of tracing the route from the user’s PC to the mail server. Thus, we can identify problems with the network connection between the mail server and the user’s PC. If we have any problem with the ISP, we recommend that customers contact them.

Alternatively, we’ll set up a mail server on alternate ports like 587 to overwrite blocks The FAI ports and ask the client to change the SMTP setting from 25 to 587.

In addition, we help clients remove suspicious emails or emails with untrusted attachments. We also delete unsent messages that are in the Outbox folder.

    5) Corrupted Outlook profile

The Outlook profile is used to save configured email accounts and settings that specify where emails and other data are stored. A bad Outlook profile can also lead to error 0x800ccc0f.

    Solution

In such cases, we help clients create a new profile and check if they can send / receive emails with this profile. If that works, we will help customers remove the default profile and set the new one as the default Outlook profile.

We can also start Outlook in safe mode and disable unnecessary utilities in the Outlook profile.

    6) Corrupted Outlook PST files

    Sometimes it happens.

    erreur 0x800xxx0f

Outlook error 0x800ccc0f can be caused by corrupted Outlook data files (PST and OST). Outlook uses PST files to connectlogging into the server and performing e-mail transactions.

However, if these dependencies are broken, it will cause the connection to fail, leading to this error.

    Solution

In this case, the only solution is to repair corrupted PST files.

In case of minor damage, our hosting engineers recommend customers to use built-in recovery tools like Inbox Repair Tool, OST Integrity Check Tool, etc. to recover PST files.

On the other hand, in case of severe damage, we recommend customers to use third-party tools to recover corrupted PST files without data loss.
