Don’t Have A Control Panel On The Start Menu? Problems?

Sometimes your system may display a message stating that Control Panel is not in the Start Menu. There can be many reasons for this problem. Just press Windows Key X on your keyboard. This will bring up a context menu where you can easily find the control panel. If you want it to be pinned to the new Windows 10 Start menu, here’s how to do it. Click Start and the Control Panel will be docked to the Start Menu.

Here’s what I do:

  • Open a Windows Powershell Command Prompt.
  • Paste the following code snippet

This is usually enough.

  $ path = "$ env: LOCALAPPDATA  Microsoft  Windows  WinX  Group2"$ x = "UEsDBBQAAAAIAEphSkmJ5YBS0QAAAPcDAAARAAAAQ29udHJvbCBQYW5lbC5sbmvzYWBgYBRhYgCBA2CSwa2BmQEiQAAwovEnAzEnA8MCXSBtGBwQ / Kgrwm2Pj4Xz7j / Ck9Vm5J4ThCkURtIEUxyq4TO / cr6l94oLD6 / oPrz6GaRYCKaYEU1xtW7v74sTTPz2J   St4ZykvR   kmAmm   Og13laY6SLMYM0LVMsz81Iyi1RjiiuLS1JzjY1ikvPzSoryc / RSK1KJ8eswAKoM5QyZDHkMKUCyCMiLYShmqATiEoZUhlwGYwYjoEgyQz5QRQlQPp8hh0EPKFPBMFLCZyQBAFBLAQIUABQAAAAIAEphSkmJ5YBS0QAAAPcDAAARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABDb250cm9sIFBhbmVsLmxua1BLBQYAAAAAQABAD8AAAAAAQAAAAA = ". Replace (" `n", "")[Convert] :: FromBase64String ($ x) | Set-Content $ path  temp.zip-Encoding byteExpand-Archive $ path  temp.zip -DestinationPath $ pathRemove item $ path  temp.zipStop Process Name Browser

The gibberish in the $ x variable is a Base64 encoding reference file for Control Panel that writes this script to the appropriate folder and then restarts the Windows Explorer process.

Another advantage of this method is that I can use this script in the process of automatically building boxes, etc., which means it does not need to be done interactively.

First Things To Do

Commands mThe Win X menus are located in this file folder (see Figure B:

).

C: Users USERNAME AppData Local | Microsoft Windows WinX

Figure B

However, you can’t just add a shortcut to the control panel executable in one of these group folders and expect it to appear in the Win X menu. Special links in the Win X menu system are protected by a special hash calculation that makes any attempt to change it much more difficult content.

To add the control panel back to the Win X menu, you need to use the link with the hash already included. This usually means that you are buying the link on a version of Windows other than the Creators Update. This is possible with a third party application, but it is difficult, complex and inconsequential.

If you would like to follow the progress, you can find more information on this website . But before I do that, I have some simple solutions that might work better for you.

Solution 7: Change The Display Scale

Other users have confirmed that changing the display settings fixed the problem. As surprising as this solution may seem, it worked for many users. So it’s worth giving them a try.

If you have changed the screen size more than 100%, this may be the reason for the control panel unavailability. So if you are using a setting other than 100% for text and apps, reduce it to 100%.

Click “Start”> Type “Resize apps on screen” and double-click the first result. Go to Custom Scaling and reset the value to 100%.

Solution 8: Reinstall Windows 10

Hi Hunt, ALWAYS,

I can’t be sure, but if the memory diagnostic tool reports an error in your hardware, it’s highly likely that you have bad RAM, which could be the root cause of the stop / screen error. Blue. You might want to test different blocks RAM, if you have one, or take it to a computer shop for diagnosis. As for the installation disc, here is an excerpt from the Microsoft Knowledge Base article aboutSupport for OEM or system builder software replacement:

What Is MSConfig?

System Requirements MSConfig is a system utility used to troubleshoot problems during the Microsoft Windows startup process. It can disable or re-enable software, device drivers, or Windows services that start at startup, and change startup options.

MSConfig is easy to use and will help you solve many Windows 7 startup problems. You can temporarily or permanently change the system startup mode (startup files), system services and fileslaunch. This makes MSConfig an extremely useful troubleshooting utility. It can be used to speed up loading and optimize loaded loads where and when your system boots.

Active Directory Safe Recovery Mode

Active Directory Safe Mode is a little difficult to explain. Unlike the Windows registry, Active Directory does not contain dynamic information or data that can change frequently. Active Directory stores computer-specific information such as print queues, contact information, and information about your computer’s hardware.

If Active Directory is damaged or if you cannot modify the hardware of your computer, Windows instability issues may occur. One of the most common problems occurs when a computer owner replaces a faulty motherboard with a motherboard that doesn’t match the brand or model of the old one. Active Directory Safe Recovery Mode can help restore the stability of your computer by saving new or corrected information.ation in Active Directory.

You probably never need to use this parameter unless your computer is a domain controller or part of a domain.

Should I disable Windows error reporting?

A problem report is also known as a bug report. This service is enabled by default in all versions of Windows. When Windows detects a hardware or software failure, diagnostic data is automatically collected and sent to Microsoft. For privacy reasons, you can turn it off.

What does Windows Error Reporting Service do?

The Microsoft Windows Error Reporting Service (WER) helps Microsoft and Microsoft partners diagnose problems with the software you use and propose solutions. Not all problems have solutions, but where solutions are available, they are offered in steps to resolve the problem you reported or updates to install.

What does Microsoft Error Reporting mean?

A bug report is simply Windows notification of a problem with a program or a program’s compatibility with your hardware. You can turn off System Restore (as a minor fix) and perform a Windows update. (www.windowsupdate.microsoft.com and ask to scan your computer.)

At times, your computer may display an error code indicating that Task Manager is right-clicking the menu. This issue can be caused by a number of reasons. Press Ctrl Shift Esc to open Task Manager with a keyboard shortcut, or right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Task Manager. You can also press Ctrl Alt Delete, then click Task Manager on the screen that appears, or find the Task Manager shortcut on the Start menu.

Getting to know the Task Manager isn’t difficult in itself, but it’s always fun to learn the various methods. Some of them may even come in handy if you can’t open the Task Manager as you used to.

What Is Windows Task Manager?

When a user starts and uses one or more programs, these user-controlled processes combine a number of standard processes that are already running in the background. Typically, a multi-tab browser, a text editor with an open document, an email client, a graphics program, and a background music player software run at the same time. While these applications are highly visible due to their unique system tray icon, their exact impact on PC performance cannot be seen at a glance.

Windows Task Manager removes this ambiguity by providing an overview of all applications running in the background.mode. If you find an unnecessary process, you also have the option to end it right from the task manager. A handy tool provides detailed information about individual processes. Below is a quick overview of the most important tasks of Task Manager:

  • Process disk usage
  • Process-induced network load
  • Process power consumption.
